Our values and ethos

Our support is underpinned by four core values:

To have a shared moral purpose: putting pupils first.

To be truly collaborative: communities of schools working in partnership without parochialism, reciprocally sharing solutions to common problems.

To be built on long term relationships that are continuously improving, embedding and evolving over time.

To be transparent and honest in all that we do and say.

“Our ethos is ‘together we can’.”

Sue Marsh – Strategic Lead of Beechwood Teaching School Alliance and Headteacher of Beechwood Junior School

Together, we can do what is right for all children and young people.

Together, we can support pupils and colleagues to achieve excellence.

Together, we can deliver a world class education to the children in our communities.

True collaboration is only achieved with integrity and trust. We promise to act with honesty, integrity and respect in all our dealings within and beyond the organisation. We expect the same in return.

We believe that collaborative support is most effective when based on long-term, enduring relationships. We do not believe in short term fixes. Our support team work within the community and meet regularly to review their impact and effectiveness. School improvements are best built slowly on secure foundations, regularly nurtured.

We also firmly believe that individual schools within our partnership are best placed to identify their own needs and decide their own pathways. They know their pupils best. Our promise is to listen and respond; we aim to tailor our training and provide bespoke support to meet the needs that schools themselves have identified.

Our mission is to work alongside schools to help them provide each pupil they serve with the best quality education..

Together we can!
