Learning Support Development Package

Our Learning Support Development Package offers initial training for new or inexperienced teaching assistants and emotional and behavioural support assistants as well as a range of specialised workshops for those with more experience. We also offer Higher Level Training Assistant training and accreditation through our partner Babcock 4S.

Our New Teaching Assistant Programme provides basic training in the core elements of the teaching assistant role including safeguarding, the SEN Code of Practice, behaviour management and effective working practices. It operates in conjunction with our Teaching Assistant Workshops Programme that provides further training for both new and experienced teaching assistants on specific areas of learning support.

Similarly, our New to Emotional and Behavioural Support Programme provides a secure introduction to the role of emotional and behavioural support while our Emotional and Behavioural Support Workshops Programme allows both new and more experienced pupil support assistants to further their understanding of particular emotional needs and gain hands-on practice with a range of effective strategies and approaches.

Our nationally accredited Higher Level Teaching Assistant Programme is delivered in partnership with Babcock FS. It is a formally assessed training programme that confers HLTA Status following successful completion.
